Meet our team

Ms. María Hernandez

Maria Hernandez is the founder of The Learning Spot Child Development Center, serving families since 2005. With over two decades of expertise in early childhood development, she has established a distinguished developmental program she leads with intentional structure, quality standards, and excellence. Her work is rooted in one belief: the early years shape a lifetime — and they deserve to be built with purpose. Her mission is clear: To cultivate confident, capable, and emotionally grounded children by building environments of intention, structure, and care — and by empowering the adults who guide them. For this reason, her work extends beyond the classroom by supporting families, mentoring educators, and promoting conscious leadership in child development.

Ms. Kimberly

Hello Learning Spot Families,

My name is Kimberly, and I am excited to be part of your child’s learning journey. I am currently a student at California State University, Dominguez Hills pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. With approximately three years of experience working with children, I am passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child feels supported and encouraged to grow. My Catholic faith is an important part of who I am and guides the way I approach both my education and my work with children. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us to “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans,” and I strive to live by this verse by dedicating my work to serving others with patience, compassion, and integrity. I truly enjoy helping children learn, explore, and build confidence both academically and socially. Outside of the classroom, I value spending time with my family, enjoying beach walks, and watching the sunrise and sunset. I also love traveling and look forward to exploring more places in the future. I am committed to providing a positive and enriching experience for every child and look forward to working with your family.
